Liberals Will Only Tear Down America

Liberals Are Weak, Just Like Karl Rove Said

Democrats have met the enemy, and it is Karl Rove. After standing behind Dick Durbin's comparison of American troops to Nazis, Washington Dems are in a lather about the White House deputy chief of staff's comments at a dinner last week.
This article comes pretty close to the actual image of the Democratic National Committee. Self-hating, America-sucks, liberals.

Liberals can never find anything good about the United States of America. They only see what is wrong. With this continuance of perception of America, Democrats AND liberals do US harm. It is a psychosis that is only beginning to show itself. Senator Clinton knows this, the DNC intelligencia (should) know this, the Hollywood elites and Manhattan cocktail crowd should be aware of this.

Who do the liberals want to succeed? America-hating Islamo-fascists? Or Americans?

Iran Sets Stage for Nuclear Showdown

Iran Vows to Restart Nuke Program

The Washington Times

TEHRAN -- Iran's hard-line president-elect, at once defiant and at ease, vowed yesterday to restart the nation's nuclear energy program and told European negotiators that building trust required a mutual effort.

Iran is a major exporter of oil and has no valid reasons (or bad reasons) to have a nuclear program. Iran has made no secret of it's desires to push Israel into the sea and calling the United States of America the "great satan". It is clear that Iran is looking for a nuclear showdown with the West, more specifically Israel and the United States. It is a shame that this Islamic theocracy continues to denounce that the "theory" that Islam is a religion of peace by their words and actions.

Oriana Fallaci, Europes Warrior

Prophet of Decline An interview with Oriana Fallaci

by Tunku Varadarajan (The Wall Street Journal)

NEW YORK--Oriana Fallaci faces jail. In her mid-70s, stricken with a cancer that, for the moment, permits only the consumption of liquids--so yes, we drank champagne in the course of a three-hour interview--one of the most renowned journalists of the modern era has been indicted by a judge in her native Italy under provisions of the Italian Penal Code which proscribe the "vilipendio," or "vilification," of "any religion admitted by the state."

In her case, the religion deemed vilified is Islam, and the vilification was perpetrated, apparently, in a book she wrote last year--and which has sold many more than a million copies all over Europe--called "The Force of Reason." Its astringent thesis is that the Old Continent is on the verge of becoming a dominion of Islam, and that the people of the West have surrendered themselves fecklessly to the "sons of Allah." So in a nutshell, Oriana Fallaci faces up to two years' imprisonment for her beliefs--which is one reason why she has chosen to stay put in New York. Let us give thanks for the First Amendment.

Oriana Fallaci, Europe’s Sage Warrior. Ms. Fallaci is one of the few Europeans who understands the predicament that is facing Europe. With the possible exception of Pope Benedict XVI, Ms. Fallaci is doing her best to warn Europe of its impending end. I do not agree that Europe is that much in a mess, but I will not fault her for that at all. But I do agree Europe is a mess.

She expounds in her frustration at how much Europeans (mostly elites misguiding the common people) hate themselves and their history. Sounds somewhat similar to America’s Democratic party and liberals doesn’t it. She is clearly vexed and upset at the course events have taken Europe over the past century. She sees no hope but in Pope Benedict XVI leadership and stewardship of Western Civilization. Quite ironic for Ms. Fallaci is an atheist, an adamant atheist.

She freely admits in her first book, The Rage and the Pride, how religion does play an important role in defining the character of civilization. How religion provides the “soul” and “backbone” of a civilization. She sees much doom and gloom due to the influx of Muslims. But it is not Muslims that may destroy civilization, but the Europeans themselves.

Because Europe wants to be “secular” and reject their past, Europe now faces population decline, economic decline, and of course a moral decline. It is heartening to know that some in Europe can identify this.

Being a practicing Catholic, I pray for God’s forgiveness of Ms. Fallaci’s atheism, but above all I thank God each time for Ms. Fallaci. Because there is someone besides myself with greater influence than myself to point the errors of Europe’s ways.

The NY Times, Europe, and History

What did they expect? or the dangers of being a moral Don Quixote

The New York Times reports the shocking news:“Failed Summit Talks Expose Union Abyss”.

Something shattered in Europe on Friday night.

The leaders of the 25 European Union nations went home after a failed two-day summit meeting in anger and in shame, as domestic politics and national interests defeated lofty notions of sacrifice and solidarity for the benefit of all.

Oh dear, oh dear! Those evil things, “domestic politics and national interests” once again trumped “lofty notions of sacrifice and solidarity for the benefit of all.” How could that be? Didn't the Europeans scrap human nature when they formed the European Union? Didn’t they transcend narrow self-interest, selfishness, and atavistic sentiments like patriotism, envy, ambition, and greed?

(for the rest of this article, click on this)

Roger Kimbal, the blogger of this excellent piece of blogging, couldn’t have been more insightful on the ills of Europe’s sins.

The New York Times, or the American version of Pravda, castigated the rich nations of the EU for being selfish and only concerned of their own interests. WOW! What an absurd idea. What is happening here is the second great Communist experiment via the European Union. Liberals, Socialists, Deaniacs, the Manhattan latte crowd, and the Hollywood Hotshots are looking to create the next Communist experiment.

If having over 70 years of the Soviet Union wasn’t enough evidence that a welfare state does not have legs, much less brains, ergo, the New York Times.

Thank goodness that the Hollywood Honchos and Manhattan Deaniacs have absolutely no say in European affairs. The “No” votes in France and the Netherlands could be the quiet conservative crest rippling through the European political ocean. Once it hits the shores of France and Germany, Sarkozy and Merkel could be the Reagan and Thatcher of continental Europe.

BBC Bias Shows Liberal Streak of Media

Spaniards to stage anti-gay rally

Thousands of people are expected to take to the streets of Madrid to protests against government moves to legalize gay marriage. The protests will be led by Roman Catholic bishops and members of the conservative opposition Popular Party.

(click here for the rest of the article)

The BBC has shown its true colors by the title of their article. For months the Vatican and the Spanish opposition party has repeatedly called this rally the “Pro-Family” rally. The BBC in order to support their liberal agenda has relabeled it as the “anti-gay” rally.

For years here in the U.S. the people have criticized the media, both domestic and foreign, as having a liberal streak in its reporting. So much so that the big three television networks, the BBC, CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post has saturated the market with their liberal reporting. Anchors such as Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, et al, have hammered their liberal agenda upon the people of this great nation. With the advent of the “New Media”, i.e., the internet, we have seen an explosion of alternative news sources due in (no) thanks to many years of liberal bias by the big three networks, the BBC, CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post.

This has what may in the future be called a renaissance in news coverage where the truth can be reported without the “liberal” filter so to speak. From the emergence of the Fox News Channel to the boom in books sales expressing political commentary.

You would think that the BBC would notice and be more careful in their interpretation, as opposed to their reporting, of events by toning down their apparent liberal bias.

Nope.

Why not titling their article “Marriage Debate” or “Rally for Marriage” being that it is a bit more neutral. Well, they aren’t that smart are they?

I guess the BBC will find out the hard way just like the big three networks, CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post via decreased viewership and falling circulations just how wrongheaded their liberal interpretations of events have caused their continued demise and influence.

Europeans Just Don't Get It

What Europe Really Needs

The Continent has turned its back on both the past and the future.

(click here for the entire article from the Wall Street Journal)

That Europe as an entity is sick and the European Union as an institution is in disorder cannot be denied. But no remedies currently being discussed can possibly remedy matters. What ought to depress partisans of European unity in the aftermath of the rejection of its proposed constitution by France and the Netherlands is not so much the foundering of this ridiculous document as the response of the leadership to the crisis, especially in France and Germany.

This is just another article on the European reaction to the French and Dutch “no” votes (and the British pushback). Europe’s stagnating economies are being choked by their unending government regulations. This combined with their intransigent and irrelevant unions are beginning to put a stranglehold on their economies and putting it in their death knells. Furthermore, this is compounded by ever decreasing birthrates that is a demographic time bomb because of the ever shrinking pool of tax payers for the ever growing pool of pensioners.

Their problem is that their hybrid of socialism and economic-elitism is a complete failure. Not to mention that they have a near non-existent and impotent military if and when Russia turns totalitarian or an Islamic nation becomes belligerently drunk with nuclear power; Europe will fold quickly to any form of saber rattling that would make the French proud. The "European Experiment" has failed and the sooner they realize this better off they will be to get their house in order to be able to compete with the United States in the economic realm and prevent a complete meltdown of civic life.

The End of Europe

Washington Post (6/15/05) -

Europe as we know it is slowly going out of business. Since French and Dutch voters rejected the proposed constitution of the European Union, we've heard countless theories as to why: the unreality of trying to forge 25 E.U. countries into a United States of Europe; fear of ceding excessive power to Brussels, the E.U. capital; and an irrational backlash against globalization. Whatever their truth, these theories miss a larger reality: Unless Europe reverses two trends -- low birthrates and meager economic growth -- it faces a bleak future of rising domestic discontent and falling global power. Actually, that future has already arrived.

Hollywood Weapons Inspector reports from Iran

TEHRAN (Reuters)

Hollywood actor Sean Penn, adopting the role of a journalist, scribbled in his notebook as Friday prayer worshippers in Tehran chanted "Death to America."

Penn, 44, in Iran on a brief assignment for the San Francisco Chronicle ahead of presidential elections on June 17, may be one of the best known faces in film, but he went unrecognized by the 6,000 faithful at Tehran University.

Working with a translator, Penn took copious notes as hardline cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati urged the congregation to vote en masse "to make America angry."

The actor, who visited Iraq before and after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 and wrote an account of his second trip for the Chronicle, told Reuters he had decided to come to Iran because of growing tensions between Washington and Tehran.

The United States accuses Iran of developing nuclear weapons and sponsoring terrorism. Iran denies the charges.

Why the French are French

Move over Rambo, you're cramping new man's style

Macho man is an endangered species, with today's male more likely to opt for a pink flowered shirt and swingers' clubs than the traditional role as family super-hero, fashion industry insiders say.

A study along these lines led by French marketing and style consultants Nelly Rodi was unveiled to Fashion Group International during a seminar Tuesday on future strategy for the fashion industry in Europe.

The Sick Man of the World, Europe - part 1

In part one (1) of an undetermined series of blogs on Europe, I will examine the economic, social, and cultural undercurrents that is affecting and accelerating the decaying and possible demise of Europe. In the context of Europe, I will be referring to Germany and Western Europe. If the rest of central and Eastern Europe continue on their road of imitating these forementioned nations of Europe, they too will be lumped together as “Europe”. Even though many of these central and eastern European nations have been accepted or are on their way of being accepted into the European Union, they do not carry the same characteristics represented in what I call “Europe”.

So let us begin into my fascination on the blogs and articles emanating from Europe concerning the United States progression towards the "Middle Ages" because of the "Right-Wing" government that is currently in office. Interesting in that nearly all, if not all, Europeans view the United States as a regressive imperial power bent on world domination. They say we are without culture, morally bankrupt, gun-toting, free-market extremists who understand little of the machinations of current events outside our own backyards.

Let us put this in perspective.

Europe, the self-proclaimed great moralist and denouncers of evil has produced two World Wars, the Jewish genocide, and three totalitarian systems. The National Socialists, Nazi's, the Communists, and the Fascists. All of these systems were based on creating a government that serves the ‘greater good of man’, i.e., the greater good being the state. The state would be responsible for guaranteeing a job, social security in form of a welfare state, socialized medicine to preserve the health of man, and numerous other state funded enterprises that were "morally relative" to the betterment of mankind. These are all noble endeavors on face value. But you would think the Europeans would know better than to fall for this claptrap again.

With hindsight the Europeans should think twice about giving power to the state as opposed to the people. With foresight the Europeans should be able to project the ramifications of the many social programs they have in place. Neither of these options has the Europeans clearly pursued.

I am no sociological expert, but I do read reports, articles, journals, i.e., almost every imaginable current events periodical available. With this said, I can clearly say that two issues have risen that are indisputable in regards to Europe. One is the drop of European birth rates and two is that if these rates continue, the depopulation of Europe is certain. I will not go into the numbers, but it is safe to say that 18 European countries are experiencing birth replacement rates that are insufficient in sustaining the same population level. Meaning that their populations will decrease within the next 20 years. Taking into consideration immigration and other social factors that could avert this crisis, there is insufficient evidence to prove otherwise that Europe is facing a demographic time bomb.

There are many variables causing the decrease in population. Too many to state, but for now it is fact that many families are starting to have less and less children. Many people are putting off marriage, for whatever reasons, later in life. Sometimes to the detriment of having children because many of these women are starting late into their child bearing years which makes it dangerous to have children and limits how many children you want. Plus the costs involved in new technologies to induce pregnancies are affordable to the very few who go down this avenue. Notwithstanding that even when a couple decides to have a family early in life, they choose not to have more than one in most cases, two in very rare cases. Many couples even choose not get married in order to have children. Many couples choose not to have children, regardless if they are married or not. With increased economic affluence it is generally agreed upon that people tend to have smaller and smaller families.

What are the contributing factors towards this? With so many social programs available for those having children, you would think that there would be fewer reasons to not have more children.

Allow me to state the reasons why this is so.

With the now famous European panache for two month vacations from work, increased benefits for work related injuries, shortened work weeks, socialized healthcare, et al. Many Europeans are becoming more and more self-absorbed in satisfying their lust for leisure. I am not against leisure, but it is true that “too much of a good thing is too much”. Many Europeans have decided that they are not beholden to anyone, hence the self-absorption. Like the state hasn’t done enough for subsidizing a lazy lifestyle already.

Again, many people marvel and admire the social programs in most European countries to the point of holding it as infallible dogma that the state is the answer to all of man’s ills. Even many Americans hold to this view due to their proficient travels in Europe, studying everything and anything European to the point of self automated brainwashing that anything European is good and right and anything American that contradicts this is bad and wrong. I tend to call these people secular fundamentalists, other people call them Democrats or Liberals. To find a middle ground, let’s call them ‘secular humanists’ or ‘hedonists’ in layman’s terms.

Without going into details of the European single mindedness admiration of ‘hedonism’. I would theorize that ever since European man began to question his own existence and rejected the idea of being beholden to a higher power, i.e., God. European man began to experiment with the most deviant of ideas ever manifested in the history of humankind. This in direct correlation created the not so great calamities of the 20th century.

The French Revolution begot Robespierre and his ilk. "I think therefore I am". The famous quote by Descartes exemplifies this correctly. Europeans believing that they were created without the ominous direction of God, began to stray away from their Christian heritage and they began to question morality in general.

All of which began to bring the idea of relativism into the hearts and minds of Europeans. This has led them down the dark path of secular humanism. Which has produced some of the most monstrous ideas and leaders in human history from Karl Marx, Maximilien Robespierre, Adolph Hitler, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Joseph Stalin to name a few.

What does this have to do with depopulation? Well Europe has not experienced a depopulation of this magnitude ever. The next 20 years this depopulation will eclipse the Black Plague in scope and breadth.

Because of the Europeans fascination of a welfare state in conjunction to the embracing of moral relativism, simultaneously rejecting Christian values which has been replaced by the new religion of secular humanism. Social attitudes progressing from the sanctity of marriage to the sanctity of ‘if it feels good do it’ will destabilize the welfare state as it stands today.

This will occur. I repeat, this will occur because of the Europeans resistance to change, especially to their treasured social programs. As an example, everyone has witnessed French union workers protesting as recently as last week the elimination of one of their 17 holidays as well as changing the work week from 35 hours back to 40 hours. Almost all economists and government policy wonks understand that all social programs from social security to national healthcare require a tax base to pay for these programs. The more tax payers the better the benefits. Well, this tax base will be decreasing within the next 20 years and the graying of the European population, especially when the demographic population bubble called baby boomers reaches pension age, will strain the system.

The social programs will either have to be cut back dramatically or taxes will have to be raised much higher from a smaller tax base.

This is a recipe for disaster.

Anyone reading this column can safely surmise that at best there will be riots on the streets of Europe if any changes do occur. At worst we will see the collapse of governments and civil war due to this demographic time bomb.

In my next blog I will touch on the external forces inside Europe which will only exasperate the internal problems they already face.
